Dr. Kelli Iceman’s interest in medicine started at a young age when she suffered a skiing accident, injuring her lower extremity. Having personally experienced a patient’s perspective, Dr. Iceman knew she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others with lower extremity ailments. Dr. Iceman is an energetic, reliable physician with keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
Dr. Iceman was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She attended college at Michigan State University where she majored in Microbiology and Human Biology and obtained a specialization in Health Promotions. While completing her undergraduate pre-medical studies, Dr. Iceman also competed as a coxswain on the rowing team as an All-Big Ten Athlete.
Dr. Iceman continued her studies, earning her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago Illinois. She completed her Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency training at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Throughout her residency, Dr. Iceman had worked amongst worldrenowned faculty and received extensive training in both foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Iceman has special interests in sports medicine, foot and ankle reconstruction surgery, trauma and limb preservation. She has advanced training in lower extremity nerve repair and treatments, as well as hindfoot and ankle arthroscopy. She is a strong advocate for evidence-based medicine and has been actively involved in various research publications and presentations nationwide.
In Dr. Iceman’s free time, she spends time with friends and family. She enjoys running, swimming, kayaking, traveling and playing guitar. She has a deep connection for the members of the community and is excited to join the Physician team at Advanced Foot and Ankle Centers serving the Northern Michigan area.
