Abigail Miller grew up in Traverse City, Michigan. At an early age, she fell in love with the area and was determined to serve her community with a career in medicine. She graduated from St. Francis High School and Northwestern Michigan College, after which she then transferred to Michigan State University where she studied Human Biology.
Prior to being accepted to the Grand Valley State University Physician Assistant program, Abigail obtained clinical experience by working as a medical assistant at Advanced Foot and Ankle Centers. This experience sparked her interest in foot and ankle pathologies. She earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Traverse City cohort of the Grand Valley Physician Assistant program. This branch of the program focused on providing medical care to the rural and underserved communities of Northern Michigan. During her clinical education, she spent time practicing medicine in the areas of Escanaba, Kalkaska, Alpena, Cadillac, and Traverse City.
Abigail’s special interests include diabetes management, lower extremity wound care, nail pathology, and basic foot and ankle care.
Abigail is a board certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and she is a member of the Michigan Academy of Physician Associates.
Abigail enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Northern Michigan. She is grateful and eager to have the opportunity to serve the medical needs of her home community.
